Senior Software Engineer (Marketing Cloud Platform)

A Global IT Service firm is seeking a Senior Software Engineer to join the Marketing Cloud Platform Department within the Technology Platforms Division. This role offers the opportunity to contribute to the core ecosystem platforms and company-wide strategic programs.
The successful candidate will leverage mature technical expertise across multiple engineering domains and collaborate closely with stakeholders across the organization to drive the continuous growth.

Responsibilities:
- The Senior Software Engineer will be responsible for executing the entire Software Development Life Cycle (SDLC)
- Engage from the early stages of projects, including requirement analysis and architectural design
- Design, develop, and deploy scalable software solutions and microservices architectures
- Participate in development, quality assurance, deployment, and DevOps/SRE activities
- Collaborate with cross-functional stakeholders to deliver strategic platform initiatives
- Contribute across multiple engineering domains, including data engineering, distributed computing, microservice engineering, AI-powered innovative solutions, and occasionally front-end UI engineering
- Support the continuous growth and evolution of the Marketing Cloud Platform while ensuring scalable, reliable, and sustainable solutions
- Work closely with engineering teams across multiple global locations to drive successful project execution
- This role provides diverse opportunities to contribute across all stages of the SDLC and influence the future of Rakuten's marketing technology platforms

Required skills:
- 5+ years of professional experience in software development, with a significant focus on backend systems
- Proven expertise in designing, developing, and deploying scalable microservices architectures
- Strong proficiency in at least one modern programming language such as Java, Python, Go, or C#
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to articulate complex technical concepts to diverse audiences
- Strong collaborative mindset and a proven ability to work effectively within a team environment

Working hours: 9:00 - 17:30 (Mon-Fri)
