Senior Field Services Engineer - Exclusive

EMEA Recruitment is working with a global leader in crematoria with a large international footprint to recruit a Senior Field Service Engineer for the Netherlands sites. If you’re a technically skilled engineer looking for purpose in your profession, this role is for you!

Not every engineering job makes a lasting impact on both people and the planet. Our client designs, builds, and maintains advanced cremation and incineration systems for pet and human crematoria and environmental applications.

As a Field Service Engineer, you won’t just be keeping machines running—you’ll be supporting clients during some of their most emotionally significant services, while upholding the highest technical and safety standards.

This role offers variety, autonomy, and purpose. You’ll work across the Netherlands, supporting our systems in the field, solving complex technical challenges, and representing FT’s values of integrity, innovation, and sustainability.

Your Day-to-Day Responsibilities:

• Install, maintain, and repair cremation and incineration systems at customer sites
• Troubleshoot mechanical and electrical issues on-site, independently and under pressure
• Ensure all systems operate safely and in full compliance with Dutch health & safety legislation (e.g. Arbowet), VCA standards, and environmental regulations
• Complete detailed technical reports using our service system
• Collaborate with our engineering and customer support teams to share insights and drive continuous improvement
• Build trust and professional relationships with customers across the Netherlands

Experience required:

• MBO Level 3 or 4 in Mechanical or Electrical Engineering
• Cross-disciplinary skills (electro-mechanical)
• Experience with combustion systems, PLCs, or industrial burners
• Familiarity with ISO 9001 / 14001
• Valid VCA certificate or willingness to obtain
• Strong problem-solving and fault-finding skills
• Fluent in Dutch (working English proficiency preferred)
• Experience in field-based or mobile roles
• Valid EU Driving License
• Independent, reliable, and safety-focused
• Willingness for occasional overnight travel
