Asset Team Leader

Public Sector People is looking for an Assets Team Leader to oversee maintenance and asset operations across a diverse residential property portfolio in Brisbane.

This is a practical leadership role. You’ll supervise two team members, set day-to-day priorities and check that maintenance work is completed safely, on time and to the required standard. You’ll also be the first point of escalation when works become complex or urgent.

Reporting to the Assets Manager, you will:

• Oversee responsive, planned, cyclical and vacant property maintenance
• Guide the team on inspections, scopes of work, quotations and contractor activity
• Monitor work quality, turnaround times, costs and compliance requirements
• Review maintenance records and identify issues that need escalation
• Work with colleagues to manage repairs that affect tenants

You’ll have experience overseeing residential maintenance and contractors, a working knowledge of building safety and compliance, and the ability to guide a small team through competing priorities.

A relevant trade, asset, facilities or construction qualification, or equivalent experience, is required. You’ll also need a current White Card and Queensland driver licence. Community housing experience would be useful.
