About the Role - District Medical Officer - Non-Procedural
Provide comprehensive medical and community health services in Carnarvon/Exmouth area and remote communities. Provide clinical leadership, supervision, training, and education. Develop and maintain the skills necessary to provide safe, effective, appropriate, and quality clinical service.
Bring key health services together under the same roof to provide the local community with care closer to home through modern, purpose-built, and well-equipped health services. The Carnarvon site includes refurbished emergency department with two resuscitation bays, four treatment bays, central nursing station, three consulting rooms, mental health assessment room and a new triage booth. The Exmouth site offers programs such as community mental health, social work and child health services in one location for ease of access. The Exmouth site now includes new areas such as new outpatient facilities with a new hospital entry, reception, triage and waiting area; and new treatment areas for improved access to visiting specialists and practitioners.
