Senior Case Manager - Workers Compensation

MAYDAY Recruitment is currently seeking an experienced Senior Workers Compensation Claims Consultant to join a leading personal injury and claims management insurer based in Perth.

This is an exciting opportunity to join a purpose-driven team that supports injured workers throughout their recovery journey. You will play a key role in managing complex claims, driving positive outcomes and supporting individuals to successfully return to work.

The Opportunity

As a Senior Workers Compensation Claims Consultant, you will be responsible for managing end-to-end workers compensation claims within a self-insured environment. Working as a senior member of the team, you will provide technical expertise, support escalations and contribute to continuous improvement across the claims function.

You will be passionate about delivering customer-focused outcomes while balancing legislative requirements, claim strategy and cost management.

Key Responsibilities

• Manage a portfolio of complex workers compensation claims from lodgement through to resolution
• Develop and implement proactive claims strategies to achieve optimal outcomes and minimise claim costs
• Assess liability, entitlements, payments and recovery opportunities in line with legislation and policy requirements
• Collaborate with injured workers, employers, medical professionals, rehabilitation providers and internal stakeholders
• Manage rehabilitation and return-to-work plans to support successful recovery outcomes
• Provide coaching, guidance and support to team members as a senior member of the claims function

About You

You will be an experienced Workers Compensation professional with a strong understanding of claims management and a genuine passion for supporting people through their recovery journey.

You will bring:

• Demonstrated experience managing end-to-end workers compensation claims
• Strong knowledge of claims strategy, liability assessment and rehabilitation processes
• A customer-focused and empathetic approach
• Strong stakeholder engagement and communication skills
• Excellent attention to detail and the ability to manage competing priorities
• Experience within a self-insured environment (highly regarded)
