- The client is seeking an experienced Epic Consultant to provide immediate support for an ongoing Epic optimization initiative.
- The consultant will primarily support the patient access and registration side of Epic, with a focus on Prelude and Cadence.
- This resource will partner closely with internal Epic/application teams and operational stakeholders to evaluate current workflows, identify opportunities for improvement, and help implement solutions.
- This is a hands-on consulting opportunity for an Epic professional who can step into an existing environment, quickly understand the current state, and provide immediate expertise.
- Provide hands-on Epic expertise across Prelude and Cadence.
- Support patient access, registration, scheduling, and related Epic workflows.
- Partner with application, operational, and revenue cycle stakeholders to understand current processes and identify opportunities for optimization.
- Assess existing Epic functionality and recommend improvements to workflows, configuration, and system utilization.
- Support active Epic initiatives and help ensure project goals and timelines remain on track.
- Participate in requirements gathering, workflow analysis, testing, issue resolution, and implementation.
- Work collaboratively with internal Epic teams and external partners as needed.
- Identify opportunities to maximize existing Epic functionality and improve the overall user and operational experience.
- Provide documentation and knowledge transfer to internal team members.
- Serve as a subject matter expert for Prelude/Cadence-related questions and optimization opportunities.
- Strong hands-on experience with Epic Prelude.
- Strong hands-on experience with Epic Cadence.
- Experience supporting Epic patient access, registration, and/or scheduling workflows.
- Experience working within a hospital or health system environment.
- Experience with Epic optimization, enhancement, implementation, or modernization initiatives.
- Ability to quickly assess existing workflows and provide practical recommendations.
- Strong communication and collaboration skills.
- Ability to work independently and make an immediate impact in a fast-paced environment.
Preferred Qualifications
- Active Epic certification in Prelude and/or Cadence.
- Experience supporting Epic optimization initiatives.
- Experience partnering with operational and revenue cycle stakeholders.
- Experience working with pediatric healthcare organizations is a plus.
- Previous consulting or contract experience preferred.
