Steel Fixers | 2/1 Roster | Rockhampton | QLD

CELOTTI Workforce is currently seeking  experienced Steel Fixers for work on the Rockhampton Ring Road Bridge Project.

This role is well suited to experienced Steel Fixers who are confident working on major civil infrastructure and bridge construction projects. The successful candidates will join an experienced construction team working on a major project with an expected duration of approximately 12–18 months.

Key Responsibilities:

• Read and interpret reinforcement drawings, bar schedules and site instructions.
• Cut, bend, place, tie and secure reinforcing bar, mesh, starter bars, ligatures, bar chairs and spacers.
• Ensure reinforcement is correctly positioned, lapped, tied and supported prior to concrete placement.
• Work safely around formwork, bridge decks, cranes, mobile plant and other trades on an active civil construction site.
• Assist with unloading, handling and movement of reinforcement materials in coordination with crane operators, dogmen and riggers.
• Work closely with concreters, form carpenters, crane operators, dogmen, riggers, supervisors and other site personnel.
• Identify and report drawing discrepancies, hazards, access issues or quality concerns to supervisors.
• Maintain clean and safe work areas, including correct storage of materials, tools and tying wire.
• Follow all site safety protocols, exclusion zones, traffic management requirements and project procedures.
• Contribute to a productive and safety-focused team environment on a major civil infrastructure project.

Our Ideal Candidate:

• Demonstrable experience as a Steel Fixer on civil construction, infrastructure, bridge, commercial or large-scale concrete projects.
• Strong ability to read and interpret reinforcement drawings and bar schedules.
• Sound understanding of reinforcement placement, cover requirements, laps, tie patterns and pre-pour quality checks.
• White Card / Construction Induction Card.
• Ability to work effectively as part of a multidisciplinary construction team.
• Physically fit, reliable and safety-conscious with the ability to work outdoors in demanding construction environments.
• Dogging, Rigging, Working at Heights, EWP or relevant plant tickets will be highly regarded.
• Ability to pass project onboarding, medical, drug and alcohol testing and site compliance requirements where required.
• Must be local to the Rockhampton region, as no accommodation is available.

What we are offering:

• $64.28P/H Base Rate + Super 
• 2/1 roster
• Monday to Sunday work as required under the project roster
• Ongoing work for approximately 12–18 months
• Weekly Pay
• Immediate Start
• Major civil infrastructure project
