Project Manager | Environmental Data Management System (EDMS)

Location: Perth CBD, WA
Contract Duration: Initial 3 months with possible extension

Our client, a Tier1 mining company is seeking a Project Manager to lead the implementation and rollout of its Environmental Data Management System (EQUIS) across multiple operational sites. This is a business-led project within the Environment function and is not a software development or IT infrastructure role.

We are specifically seeking a Project Manager who has delivered environmental, compliance, monitoring, operational, sustainability, HSE, EHS, environmental reporting or environmental data management projects within mining, resources, industrial, utilities or heavy industry environments.

The successful candidate will drive project delivery, stakeholder engagement, governance, change management, training and site adoption activities while coordinating environmental teams, operational stakeholders, vendors and support functions.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead the implementation and rollout of an Environmental Data Management System across multiple sites
  
  
• Manage project plans, schedules, budgets, risks and reporting
  
  
• Coordinate environmental and operational stakeholders throughout the project lifecycle
  
  
• Facilitate governance meetings and provide updates to senior leadership
  
  
• Manage vendor relationships and implementation activities
  
  
• Coordinate environmental data transition activities and validation processes
  
  
• Lead user acceptance testing, training and change management programs
  
  
• Drive site-by-site deployment and business adoption
  
  
• Ensure successful transition into business-as-usual operations
  
  

Essential Experience

To be considered, you must demonstrate experience delivering projects involving one or more of the following:

• Environmental monitoring programs
  
  
• Environmental compliance or regulatory reporting
  
  
• Environmental management systems
  
  
• Environmental data management systems (EDMS)
  
  
• HSE / EHS systems
  
  
• Sustainability or compliance systems
  
  
• Site-based operational improvement projects
  
  
• Environmental remediation, groundwater, air quality, emissions, waste or water management projects
  
  

You will also bring:

• Proven project delivery experience within mining, resources, industrial, manufacturing, utilities or heavy industry sectors
  
  
• Strong stakeholder engagement and vendor management capability
  
  
• Experience managing project budgets, reporting and governance requirements
  
  
• Ability to coordinate multidisciplinary teams across multiple locations
  
  

Highly Regarded

• Environmental science, environmental engineering or environmental management background
  
  
• Experience with EQUIS, Envirosys, Intelex, Cority, Enablon, Sphera, SAP EHS or similar platforms
  
  
• Multi-site implementation experience
  
  
• Formal Project Management qualifications
  
  

This role is ideally suited to an Environmental Project Manager, Environmental Consultant, Environmental Program Manager, Compliance Project Manager, HSE Project Manager or Operational Project Manager with experience delivering environmental or compliance-related initiatives across complex operational environments.
