Quality Control / Assurance Manager – High-Volume Frozen Food Manufacturing

Core Personnel Staffing Services is seeking a high-caliber Bilingual (English/Spanish) Quality Assurance Manager with specialized experience in frozen food manufacturing to lead quality operations for a premier regional food processing leader.

Reporting directly to executive leadership, this is a hands-on, floor-first leadership role. You will serve as the master technical authority—driving plant-wide SQF/GFSI standards, leading cold-chain food safety protocols, and managing a dedicated QA/QC team.

Note: This is an industrial food manufacturing position. Candidates must have direct experience in high-volume production plants (not restaurant, retail, or hospitality QA).

Key Responsibilities

• Audit Command & Compliance: Lead all FDA, USDA, customer, and 3rd-party GFSI/SQF audits, ensuring total regulatory compliance and top-tier audit scores.

• Frozen Cold-Chain Science: Manage Critical Control Points (CCPs) specific to frozen food production—including thermal processing, rapid freezing protocols, environmental monitoring, and microbiological testing.

• Technical Formula & ERP Management: Manage master formulas, nutritional labeling, product specifications, and lot traceability within Microsoft Dynamics AX (or similar ERP systems).

• Sanitation & Lab Leadership: Direct QA lab technicians and oversee plant-wide sanitation cycles, micro-testing, and environmental sampling programs.

• Cross-Functional Partnership: Collaborate daily with Operations, Sanitation, and Procurement to troubleshoot production bottlenecks, reduce waste, and enforce quality standards.

Required Qualifications ("Must-Haves")

• Industry Experience: 6+ years of QA/QC leadership experience specifically inside a Food Manufacturing Plant. (Direct experience in frozen foods, prepared meals, or cold-chain industrial food production is strictly required).

• Bilingual Capability: Must be fluent in English and Spanish (written and spoken) to effectively train, lead, and audit across all facility levels.

• Mandatory Certifications: Active SQF Practitioner and current HACCP Certification required. PCQI certification is strongly preferred.

• Education: Bachelor’s Degree in Food Science, Microbiology, Chemistry, or related science field preferred.

• Systems Proficiency: Strong experience using ERP systems (Microsoft Dynamics AX preferred) and MS Excel for data analysis and yield/waste tracking.

• Floor-First Mindset: Comfortable spending at least 50% of your time on the plant floor working alongside quality and production staff.
