Data Steward Analyst
Location: Notting Hill, Melbourne (Hybrid – 3 days in office, 2 days from home)
About the business
Our client is a well established name in the manufacturing, part of a rapidly growing global group with a strong portfolio of market leading brands. With over 1000 employees across Australia and New Zealand, they are known for a people first culture, strong internal career paths, and a genuine commitment to developing their people.
About the role
The data governance function within the business was established around 12 months ago. The foundational framework is in place and the focus has now shifted from ground up design to standardisation, documentation, and driving adoption across the business. Data quality monitoring is still maturing and much of the current process is manual, so there is real opportunity for someone to help shape how this evolves.
Reporting to the Data Steward, the Data Steward Analyst will support the organisation's data quality, security, and governance practices, working closely with data owners, business users, and system owners across the business.
Key pain points this role will help address include a lack of clear standards for what good data looks like across different domains, unclear ownership and accountability, and the absence of a single source of truth.
