The opportunity
Reporting to the Credit and Collections Manager, the Accounts Receivable Officer will support the complete resident revenue cycle, from admission through to departure.
You will ensure billing, receipting, funding reconciliations, debt collection support and resident account administration are completed accurately and in line with aged care legislation, resident agreements and organisational policy.
Key responsibilities will include:

• Maintaining resident and client accounts, processing billing changes and producing accurate invoices, statements and supporting documentation.
• Allocating receipts, processing direct debits and reconciling resident payments, bank records, Medicare subsidies and government funding.
• Supporting debt collection, RAD administration, resident departures and refunds while keeping clear records of all activity.
• Responding sensitively to resident, representative and internal queries while helping strengthen controls and improve revenue processes.

About you
You will bring:

• A qualification in accounting, bookkeeping, finance, business administration or an equivalent discipline.
• Accounts receivable experience in aged care, healthcare, NDIS, community services or another regulated environment.
• Working knowledge of residential aged care fees, RADs, Services Australia processes, Medicare reconciliations and collections.
• Strong accuracy, organisation and communication skills, including the ability to handle sensitive account enquiries professionally.
• Experience with Care Systems, iCare, multi-site operations or acquired business integrations will be highly regarded.
