THE COMPANY:


Our client is a well-established provider of HVAC and building services solutions, delivering installation, maintenance and technical support services to commercial, industrial and healthcare customers throughout Ireland.

Due to continued growth and expansion, they are now seeking a Service Manager to lead their service engineering function and support the ongoing development of the business.


THE ROLE:


The successful Service Manager will be responsible for leading and developing a team of approximately 10 service engineers while ensuring high levels of customer satisfaction, operational efficiency and service delivery performance.

This role would suit an experienced Service Manager or a senior HVAC professional looking to take the next step into people management and leadership.


Key responsibilities include:


• Leading, managing and developing a team of service engineers

• Driving performance, accountability and service excellence across the engineering team

• Providing coaching, mentoring and technical guidance to engineers

• Managing team workloads, resource planning and service delivery activities

• Working closely with customers to ensure service expectations are achieved

• Supporting recruitment, onboarding and development of engineering personnel

• Monitoring KPIs, team performance and operational effectiveness

• Driving continuous improvement initiatives across the department

• Working closely with senior management on business objectives and growth plans

• Promoting a strong health & safety and customer-focused culture

• Supporting strategic planning and operational decision-making


THE PERSON:


We are looking to speak with candidates who have experience within HVAC, building services, refrigeration, mechanical services or facilities management environments. Previous service management experience would be advantageous, but is not essential.

We are particularly interested in speaking with senior HVAC engineers, supervisors, team leaders or service professionals who are looking to step into a management position.


The ideal candidate will have:


• Qualified HVAC, Refrigeration, Mechanical or Building Services background

• Strong technical understanding of HVAC and building services systems

• Previous experience leading, mentoring or supervising engineers

• Strong communication and people management skills

• Ability to motivate and develop teams

• Customer-focused attitude

• Commercial awareness and operational understanding

• Strong organisational and planning skills

• Full driving licence

LOCATION:

Ideally based in Dublin, but open to candidates located throughout Dublin, Meath, Kildare, Wicklow and surrounding Leinster locations.
