Job Description

Machine Operator is responsible for all aspects of machine operation and changeover activities to achieve and maintain world class quality.

Job Duties

  • Machine operators load various shapes and sizes of glassware onto a computer machine.
  • When the machine cycle is complete the machine operators remove the pieces from the machine, reload and restart the machine.
  • Machine operation procedure is repeated throughout the operators shift.
  • Operators are responsible for the quality of the product being produced.
  • Each piece must be inspected for quality before being packaged.
  • On occasion, operators assemble boxes between runs.
  • Operators are required to move necessary products in and out of their work area as needed with the use of a pallet jack.
  • Operators are required to keep their work area neat and clean at all times.
  • Operators are required to work safely according to plant and factory safety rules and procedures.
  • Operators keep and record accurate production counts on a production form kept at each machine.
  • Machine operators are required to perform other duties as assigned by their supervisor.
