Join a local council as a Project Officer. Local Government offer 35 hours per week, flexible start and finish times, and stability in contract roles with potential for extension or transition into a permanent role.
ABOUT THE POSITION.
As a Project Officer, you will develop a high level of professional and technical support in delivering Councils Building & Civil projects, including liaising with internal and external stakeholders, manage the delivery of projects including initiation, development, construction, contracts supervision and administration to the agreed time, cost and quality.
DUTIES.
- Procure contracts and consultants within the designated budget and timeframe
- Develop project briefs, specifications and tender document
- Liaise with stakeholders to effectively deliver projects on time in accordance to contracts management
- Prepare scope of works throughout all concepts
SKILLS AND EXPERIENCE.
- Qualifications in Project Management, Construction and/or Engineering is required
- Experience within procurement and project delivery
- Building, Open Space, Public Domain and Recreational project exposure is highly desirable
- Driven and adaptable individual who is eager to learn and develop new skills
