Apply directA community services organization in New York City is seeking a Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) to join their growing team on Staten Island, working with clients dealing with substance use disorders.
About the Opportunity:
- Schedule: Monday to Friday (and every other Saturday)
- Hours: 6am to 2pm
- Setting: Outpatient treatment facility
Responsibilities:
- Dispensing methadone accurately
- Conducting blood draws and EKGs
- Monitoring vital signs
- Documenting patient history and treatment
- Ensuring strict adherence to inventory controls
- Performing other duties, as needed
Qualifications:
- 1+ year of Nursing experience
- High School Diploma / GED
- Graduate of a Technical or Vocational LPN Program
- NYS Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) licensure
- BLS certification
- Proficiency in medication calculations
- Experience with Methadone dispensing
- EMR system proficiency
- Strong attention to detail
- Strong interpersonal communication skills
- Ability to work independently
Desired Qualifications:
- Bachelor's Degree in Nursing
- Knowledge of Crisis Management techniques
- Experience in Substance Use Treatment facilities
