About the Role
We're looking for a Health & Safety Adviser to support site operations and help maintain a safe, productive working environment. Working closely with leaders, supervisors, and frontline teams, you'll provide practical safety advice, support risk management activities, and contribute to continuous improvement across health and safety performance.

Key Responsibilities
- Prepare and maintain accurate health and safety reports, ensuring data quality and providing insights to support continuous improvement
- Support compliance, assurance and governance activities to verify the effectiveness of safety systems, controls and standards
- Provide field-based coaching and guidance to leaders and employees to strengthen safety leadership and safe work practices
- Assist with the implementation of safety improvement initiatives and the coordination of periodic safety performance reviews
- Participate in operational and safety performance meetings to support continuous improvement and business objectives
- Promote and support the implementation of health, safety and wellbeing programs across the operation
- Contribute to risk reduction initiatives by identifying hazards, verifying controls and supporting effective risk management practices
- Support the delivery of training, awareness and assurance activities relating to psychosocial health and wellbeing
- Assist in the coordination and promotion of health and wellbeing initiatives, including mental health and peer support programs
- Provide guidance and support for incident reporting, investigation and corrective action management
- Monitor, track and analyse incidents and actions to ensure timely implementation and closure of corrective measures
- Facilitate and coach risk assessments and hazard identification activities
- Support the development and mentoring of Health and Safety Representatives and frontline leaders
- Conduct and support workplace inspections, audits and assurance activities to verify compliance with company standards, procedures and legislative requirements
- Analyse safety performance and risk data to identify trends, provide insights and recommend actions to reduce exposure to critical risks
About You
You are a practical and approachable safety professional who can build credibility across all levels of a business. You enjoy working with people, solving problems, and helping teams manage risk effectively.
You'll bring
- Experience in a Health & Safety Adviser, Coordinator, or Generalist role
- Sound knowledge of WHS legislation and safety management systems
- Strong communication and stakeholder engagement skills
- The ability to influence and coach others in a constructive way
- Experience investigating incidents and supporting risk management activities
- Strong organisational skills and attention to detail
- The ability to analyse information and identify practical improvement opportunities
Desirable Experience
- Experience in mining, resources, construction, manufacturing, or other high-risk industries
- Exposure to critical risk management programs
- Experience supporting frontline leaders and operational teams
- Familiarity with electronic safety management and reporting systems
