We’re seeking a proactive and skilled Engineering Technician to support the development and testing of next-generation autonomous vehicles. Based onsite in Sunnyvale, CA, this critical role offers an exciting opportunity to be part of a dynamic team dedicated to shaping the future of mobility.
What You’ll Do:
- Support and document configurations of advanced test platforms for autonomous vehicle validation
- Diagnose, troubleshoot, and repair complex test hardware and harnesses
- Collaborate closely with engineering teams to resolve technical issues
- Assemble, install, and configure computers and vehicle system components
- Build and maintain networking infrastructure within test labs
- Maintain lab tools and equipment, ensuring operational readiness
- Clearly document all processes and progress, supporting efficient project workflows
Ideal Candidates Will Have:
- Strong understanding of automotive CAN bus networks
- Experience with Linux operating systems and scripting
- Proficiency with Google Suite, JIRA, and Confluence
- Hands-on experience with digital multimeters and oscilloscopes
- Ability to read and interpret electrical schematics
- Computer assembly and troubleshooting skills
- Excellent organizational and documentation capabilities
- Independent work ethic with attention to detail
- Physical ability to lift up to 60 lbs
- Willingness to travel within the Bay Area as needed
Nice to Have:
- Bachelor’s degree in Engineering or related field
- Over 3 years of experience in autonomous vehicle development or related industries
- Data center operations experience
- IPC Certification
Preferred Education & Experience:
- Bachelor’s degree in Engineering or a related discipline
- Minimum of 3+ years working in autonomous vehicle support or similar environments
Additional Requirements:
- Onsite role in Sunnyvale, CA; 5 days per week in the office
- Travel within the Bay Area required
- W2 employment only
