If you're a Senior Legal Secretary or Legal EA with over 5 years of experience we're loking for someone to join a busy personal injury practice.
This is a hands-on senior support role working closely with Partners across complex matters in the workers comp.
 
The team is looking for someone who already understands the pace and processes of his practice and can confidently manage their responsibilities with a high level of autonomy and provide the support the partners need.
 
The Role
You will provide comprehensive legal and administrative support while helping ensure matters continue to progress efficiently.

• Managing correspondence, incoming emails, filing and matter-related documentation
• Maintaining and regularly reviewing client files to ensure matters remain up to date
• Managing diaries, critical dates, workflows and time limitations
• Liaising with clients, barristers, courts, medical professionals and other external stakeholders
• Coordinating appointments, conferences, mediations and settlement conferences
• Preparing files and documentation for hearings
• Preparing briefs, tender bundles, schedules and settlement documentation
• Assisting with pleadings, affidavits, consent orders and other court documentation
• Drafting correspondence to clients and third parties
• Supporting billing, invoices and trust account authorities
• Monitoring allocated tasks and helping maintain efficient workflows across the team
• Providing professional and empathetic communication to clients throughout their matters

About You
This role requires someone with strong existing legal support experience, ideally developed within personal injury and Workers Compensation.

• 5+ years' experience within a Legal Secretary or EA/PA legal support role
• Experience within Workers Compensation and/or personal injury law is a must
• Exposure to areas such as Public Liability, Motor Vehicle Accident, TPD or Common Law claims would also be valuable
• Strong document preparation, drafting and file management capability
• Excellent diary and deadline management skills
• Confidence dealing directly with clients and external stakeholders
• The ability to work autonomously and manage a busy workload
• Empathy and professionalism when dealing with clients who may be navigating difficult circumstances
