Financial Accountant

IMMEDIATE START REQUIRED

We’re seeking an experienced Financial Accountant to join a large, values-led organisation on a 3-month temporary contract, with strong potential to become permanent based In the Birmingham City Centre area. An enhanced DBS is required as part of the role.

Key Responsibilities of the Financial Accountant role Include:

• Support month-end and year-end close (journals, accruals, reconciliations)
• Prepare management accounts with the Management Accountant
• Complete balance sheet and bank reconciliations
• Assist with statutory accounts and audits
• Manage VAT returns and ensure compliance (SORP)
• Line manage and support Finance Assistants
• Partner with stakeholders across the organisation

To be considered for the Financial Accountant Role you must be:

• Fully or part-qualified (ACCA/CIMA/CIPFA/ACA)
• Strong financial accounting experience in a complex organisation
• Confident with Excel and finance systems (ERP desirable)
• Detail-focused with strong organisational and stakeholder skills

Key Information about the Financial Accountant Role Includes:

• Competitive hourly rate £23.08–£28.21 DOE (Equivalent £45-£55k per annum DOE)
