Software Architect

We are looking for a Software Architect who is a senior engineer first and an architect second. This is a highly hands-on role for someone who still loves writing production code, thrives in ambiguity, and is energized by building AI-native products.

This is a fully remote role to be worked from Ireland.

We help global businesses navigate and act on the massive, constantly shifting ocean of regulations that govern their products. The domain is a near-perfect fit for AI: the data volume is enormous, and the payoff for structuring it well is transformational. Our core platform is already trusted by some of the world's largest manufacturers. Now, we are putting AI on top of that foundation.

Currently, our architectural capacity is the only rate-limiter on how fast we turn opportunity into product. That’s the gap you fill.

Responsibilities:

• Design AI-First Systems End-to-End: Architect data ingestion, retrieval/search (RAG), agentic workflows, evaluation pipelines, human-in-the-loop interfaces, and the orchestration glue holding it together.
• Write Production Code: You’ll stand up prototypes, pair with engineers, and cut through ambiguity by getting things working and iterating.
• Own the Outcomes: Keep systems performant, economical, and stable in production—including managing the cost and latency profiles of LLM-backed features. We measure success against held-out evals, not "vibes."
• Build With AI, Not Just On It: We are an AI-native engineering org. Agentic coding tools and autonomous development loops are part of our daily workflow.
• Partner with Product: Translate complex customer problems into AI-shaped solutions. We don't build features looking for a problem.

What we're looking for:

• A Coding Architect: You think in production code as much as you do in architecture diagrams. You are deeply fluent in TypeScript and Python, with enough frontend context to ship real product surfaces.
• Battle-Tested with GenAI: You have shipped non-trivial generative AI systems to production (RAG, agentic workflows, structured extraction) and know exactly what works—and what doesn't.
• SaaS Scale Expert: You have designed and operated cloud-native, multi-tenant systems at scale (specifically AWS/Serverless) that hold up under real traffic and strict tenant isolation.
• Product-Minded & Agile: You ask "what does the customer actually need?" before "what's the cleanest abstraction?" You are energized by ambiguity and move fast without drama.

Requirements:

• 5+ years of software engineering experience, alongside 5+ years in architectural roles.
• Proven experience architecting large-scale, secure SaaS applications.
• Deep understanding of API design, microservices, and data architecture (SQL & NoSQL).
• Knowledge of security frameworks and compliance standards (SOC 2, GDPR, etc.).
• Nice to have: Background in regulated/compliance-focused industries; experience with containerization (Docker/K8s) or event-driven architectures.
