About the Role
Reporting to the Investment Operations Supervisor, this role supports the accurate and timely execution of post trade operational activities across trade processing, reconciliations, unit pricing, corporate actions and regulatory reporting. Acting as a subject matter expert within the team, you will provide guidance and training to junior staff, oversee task and payment approvals, and lead the resolution of operational exceptions.

About the Role
Reporting to the Investment Operations Supervisor, this role supports the accurate and timely execution of post trade operational activities across trade processing, reconciliations, unit pricing, corporate actions and regulatory reporting. Acting as a subject matter expert within the team, you will provide guidance and training to junior staff, oversee task and payment approvals, and lead the resolution of operational exceptions.
Responsibilities
- Validate and process trade instructions, monitoring and resolving failed trades
- Oversee daily and monthly unit price reconciliations, investigating variances
- Oversee daily cash and holdings reconciliations between internal systems, custodians and administrators
- Monitor and manage cash flows, including FX requirements
- Act as subject matter expert, providing guidance and training to associates
- Oversee task and payment approvals, and investigate and escalate operational exceptions
- Liaise with custodians, counterparties and fund managers to ensure timely trade settlement
- Complete regulatory and client reporting where required
- Identify and help implement process improvements
- Business, Finance or Commerce degree, or other relevant qualification
- 3 to 5 years' funds management and/or stock market experience, ideally from a custodian, stockbroker or funds management firm
- Preferred systems knowledge in IRESS, Bloomberg and intermediate to advanced Excel
- Proven ability to guide and train junior team members
- Strong attention to detail and confident managing competing priorities under pressure
- Excellent written and verbal communicator with strong interpersonal skills
