WHAT YOU WILL LEAD AND MANAGE

• This Business Development Representative role will represent the organisation in Perth, WA by seeking out and developing relationships with potential new customers, in addition to identifying business growth opportunities with existing customers.
• You will need excellent English communication skills to cultivate strong relationships with customers from first contact and be able to work independently. This role requires discipline, motivation, analytical ability, and commitment to contribute to long-term business objectives.
• You will effectively work with existing and new customers in developing a sound understanding of their business needs and translating this into business growth activities increasing company market share. Part of this role will be to;
  • Utilise Salesforce (CRM), to plan and manage your day-to-day activities, reporting and territory planning.
  • Analyse customer purchasing data and to develop plans to grow business based on buying trends and industry benchmarks. Identify and implement business development and sales strategies with and for customers.
  • Work in store alongside customers’ staff to demonstrate, train and support both staff and their customers on products and services. (Primarily for new customers, special events, product launches and new services implementation i.e. Technology Solution installations).
  • Conduct customer product and/or business development training sessions.
  • Develop, implement, execute and adapt a detailed territory management plan, to efficiently and effectively achieve business objectives (this will be done with the support of the National Sales Manager).
• Regularly communicate with the National Sales Manager on call activity, competitor activity, and general market intelligence.
  • Aid Product Management and Marketing in the design and development of specific marketing programs, advertising, product promotion and internal contests to reach sales goals and future product direction.
  • Attend internal & external conferences and training workshops. Complete online training (products & company) and detail products throughout the market.

WHAT YOU WILL NEED

• Tertiary education in optometry/dispensing plus relevant work experience of at least 3 years as an optical dispenser or optometrist with a strong desire to step into a commercial sales role in the medical technology industry, working for a global, leading organisation in their niche sector.
• Excellent English communication and negotiation skills.
• Valid driver’s license in WA and full Australian working rights.
