Vivid Recruitment is currently recruiting an Electrical Project Lead for a well-established, multi-disciplinary building services consultancy in Melbourne. With close to 30 years in the industry, this business delivers mechanical, electrical, hydraulic, fire, lift, security and sustainability services across a broad range of sectors including education, health, community, sports and student accommodation.
This is a great opportunity for an experienced electrical engineer to step into a leadership role, take ownership of projects from concept through to construction, and help shape a capable and supportive team.
THE ROLE
- Leading the electrical design and documentation on a variety of building services projects
- Managing projects from start to finish, including fees, programmes and deliverables
- Acting as the main point of contact for clients, architects and builders
- Coordinating with mechanical, hydraulic, fire and sustainability teams to deliver integrated designs
- Mentoring and guiding junior engineers and designers
- Reviewing designs and drawings to ensure they meet Australian Standards and project requirements
- Supporting projects through construction, including site inspections and responding to queries
- 6+ years of experience in electrical building services design
- Degree in Electrical Engineering or a related field
- MUST BE LOCATED IN AUSTRALIA
- Permanent work rights in Australia
- Strong working knowledge of AS/NZS 3000 and related Australian Standards
- Experience across power, lighting, communications and security systems
- Confident leading projects and managing client relationships
- Experience with Revit, AutoCAD and lighting design software such as DIALux is beneficial
- Clear communicator who enjoys mentoring others
