Join the U.S. supply chain organization of an established global manufacturing company with operations across more than 29 countries.

Step into a key leadership position within a recently restructured supply chain organization, reporting directly to the Senior Supply Chain Manager.

Lead a team of 6, including 5 Buyers and 1 Supply Chain Analyst, with responsibility across both direct and indirect purchasing.

Work closely with global procurement leadership and international counterparts to identify sourcing opportunities and leverage the organization’s global supplier network.

Partner cross-functionally with Supply Chain, Operations, R&D, and other business leaders to strengthen purchasing processes and supplier performance.

WHY THIS ROLE IS IMPORTANT

Own and lead the purchasing function for the region, with approximately 60% of the role focused on procurement and 40% on strategic sourcing.

Provide leadership and direction to the team responsible for supplier negotiations and day-to-day purchasing activity rather than personally owning every negotiation.

Oversee both direct and indirect purchasing within a manufacturing environment, including materials such as polymers, PVC, and other plastics.

Help determine when materials can be sourced internally through the company’s international operations versus when external supplier relationships need to be developed.

Drive supplier evaluation, development, risk management, purchasing efficiencies, and opportunities to reduce regional procurement spend.

Maintain purchasing activity and master data within SAP Materials Management while helping improve purchasing processes, tools, and KPIs.
THE BACKGROUND THAT FITS
-
5+ years of purchasing experience with demonstrated experience leading a purchasing or procurement team.

Strong background managing procurement within a manufacturing environment; experience purchasing raw materials is a plus.

Hands-on understanding of both procurement and strategic sourcing, including supplier selection, development, purchasing strategy, and supply planning.

SAP Materials Management experience is a must-have for this position.

Strong people leader who can effectively manage and develop Buyers and Supply Chain professionals while keeping the team aligned on priorities.

Proactive communicator who is comfortable keeping leadership, internal stakeholders, and global partners informed rather than waiting for issues to escalate.

Comfortable operating within a global organization and collaborating with procurement and supply chain teams internationally.

CPSM or CPM certification is preferred but not required.

Bachelor’s degree preferred based on the organization’s established profile for the position.
