Location: Melton Mowbray, Leicestershire
Pay: £16.00–£18.00 per hour, depending on experience
Hours: Monday – Friday, Day Shift
Duration: Temporary – Projects throughout October
Start: ASAP

Barker Ross are currently recruiting for an experienced CNC Operator to support a busy client working on a number of high-end Christmas projects throughout October.

The role will involve operating CNC machinery to produce bespoke components for retail window displays and in-store activations, working with materials including MDF, timber and sheet materials.

Duties will include:

• Setting and operating CNC machinery
• Producing bespoke components from MDF, timber and other materials
• Working from drawings, designs and specifications
• Loading materials and ensuring accurate machine set-up
• Monitoring the machining process and checking finished components
• Carrying out quality checks to ensure a high standard of finish
• Working alongside Bench Hand Joiners and the wider workshop team
• Following all workshop health and safety procedures

The ideal candidate will have:

• Previous experience operating CNC machinery within a joinery or manufacturing environment
• Experience working with MDF, timber or similar materials
• Ability to read and work from technical drawings
• Good attention to detail and accuracy
• Experience setting CNC machinery
• CNC programming experience would be advantageous
• Experience within shopfitting, exhibition builds, bespoke furniture or retail display manufacturing would be beneficial

This is a temporary position supporting a number of projects throughout October, with candidates available for the full month or multiple project dates encouraged to apply.
