Contract Manager – Soft Facilities Management

Barker Ross is hiring on behalf of a reputable client for an experienced Contract Manager to oversee a multi-site Soft Facilities Management contract.

The role involves managing the delivery of cleaning, grounds maintenance and waste services, while leading frontline teams, managing client relationships, monitoring performance and ensuring high standards across multiple sites.

The client delivers essential Soft FM services across homes, schools, universities and public sector organisations, with a strong focus on creating clean, safe and welcoming environments while maintaining high standards of quality and customer service.

Key Responsibilities:

• Manage soft FM services across multiple sites.

• Lead and support frontline teams, including performance management and development.

• Monitor KPIs, conduct audits and inspections, and drive service improvements.

• Manage client and stakeholder relationships and respond to service issues effectively.

• Oversee health & safety, compliance and operational standards.

• Support budget management and maintain strong commercial control.

• Manage subcontractors and ensure consistent service quality.

Key Requirements:

• Proven experience in Soft FM, particularly cleaning, grounds maintenance and waste services.

• Strong performance and people management experience.

• Experience managing multi-site, KPI-driven contracts valued at £1m+.

• Budget/P&L responsibility and strong commercial awareness.

• Strong client and stakeholder management skills.

• Good knowledge of health & safety and compliance requirements.

• Full UK driving licence – essential.

• Right to work in the UK – essential.

Location & Working Hours:
The role involves regular travel across Brighton, Crawley, Chichester, Horsham and surrounding areas.
Working hours are Monday to Friday, 7:30am–3:30pm. An electric company vehicle will be provided.

Salary: £42,000 per annum
