Are you a skilled Maintenance Fitter with strong welding experience looking to join a well-established and growing food manufacturing business?

We are recruiting on behalf of a successful Irish food production company based in Dublin 22. This is an excellent opportunity to join a business with a strong reputation for quality, continuous improvement, and investing in its people.

Working as part of the maintenance team, you'll play a key role in ensuring production equipment and site facilities operate safely, efficiently, and reliably in a fast-paced manufacturing environment.

The Role

As a Maintenance Fitter, you will be responsible for carrying out planned, preventative, and reactive maintenance while supporting production through effective fault finding, fabrication, and equipment repairs.

Key Responsibilities

  • Carry out preventative, predictive, and reactive maintenance on production equipment and site facilities.
  • Diagnose and repair mechanical faults to minimise downtime.
  • Perform fitting, fabrication, and welding repairs on machinery, guards, brackets, frames, and associated equipment.
  • Support production teams by maintaining equipment reliability and performance.
  • Complete maintenance documentation and service records accurately.
  • Ensure all work is completed in line with health & safety, food safety, and engineering standards.
  • Participate in continuous improvement initiatives and ongoing training.

What We're Looking For

  • Proven experience as a Maintenance Fitter, Mechanical Maintenance Technician, or Fitter/Welder within manufacturing or food production.
  • Strong mechanical fault-finding and troubleshooting skills.
  • Experience with fabrication and welding desirable.
  • Ability to prioritise planned maintenance alongside breakdown response.
  • Good understanding of health & safety and food hygiene requirements.
  • Self-motivated with the ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Relevant mechanical trade qualification and/or welding certification is highly desirable.
