JOB TITLE: Senior Platform Analyst (Kubernetes)

LOCATION: Houston, TX (Onsite)

SCHEDULE: Standard Business Hours

DURATION: 12-Month Contract

PAY: 67-72 USD per hour

Job Responsibilities:

In this role, you will design, implement, and support enterprise Kubernetes infrastructure while ensuring high availability, scalability, security, and performance across multiple environments. You will work closely with engineering teams to automate infrastructure, troubleshoot complex issues, and optimize containerized platforms.

Key responsibilities include:

• Designing and managing Kubernetes infrastructure by:
  
  o Deploying and maintaining Kubernetes clusters.
  
  o Managing resource provisioning and configuration.
  
  o Implementing security best practices across Kubernetes environments.
  
• Optimizing platform performance by:
  
  o Monitoring cluster health and resource utilization.
  
  o Improving scalability and system performance.
  
  o Identifying opportunities to optimize infrastructure efficiency.
  
• Supporting platform reliability by:
  
  o Troubleshooting Kubernetes, networking, storage, and application issues.
  
  o Resolving production incidents and infrastructure-related problems.
  
  o Collaborating with engineering teams to maintain platform stability.
  
• Driving automation and operational excellence by:
  
  o Developing automation scripts and tools.
  
  o Reducing manual operational tasks through scripting and infrastructure automation.
  
  o Supporting DevOps initiatives and continuous improvement efforts.
  
  

  Essential Duties and Job Functions:

• Design, implement, and maintain enterprise Kubernetes clusters.
  
• Configure and manage Kubernetes resources, deployments, services, pods, stateful sets, and storage.
  
• Monitor platform performance, availability, and capacity.
  
• Optimize Kubernetes environments for scalability and resource utilization.
  
• Troubleshoot infrastructure, networking, storage, and application issues.
  
• Develop automation solutions using Python, Bash, or similar scripting languages.
  
• Support cloud-based Kubernetes environments within AWS and/or Azure.
  
• Collaborate with engineering and DevOps teams to improve deployment processes.
  
• Implement Kubernetes security best practices and operational standards.
  
• Support CI/CD pipeline integration and infrastructure automation initiatives.
  
• Maintain technical documentation and operational procedures.
  
• Evaluate and recommend improvements to platform architecture and infrastructure.
  
  

  Knowledge & Skills:

• Expert knowledge of Kubernetes architecture and administration.
  
• Strong understanding of containerization technologies.
  
• Experience with Kubernetes components including Pods, Services, Deployments, StatefulSets, and Storage.
  
• Proficiency with Python, Bash, or similar scripting languages.
  
• Experience with AWS and/or Azure Kubernetes services.
  
• Strong troubleshooting and root cause analysis skills.
  
• Experience with infrastructure automation tools such as Ansible and/or Terraform.
  
• Familiarity with Helm package management.
  
• Experience supporting CI/CD pipelines and DevOps practices.
  
• Knowledge of monitoring and observability tools including Grafana, Prometheus, and Dynatrace.
  
• Excellent communication, collaboration, and organizational skills.
  
• Passion for continuous learning and emerging technologies.
  
  

  Education & Experience:

• 5+ years of hands-on experience with Kubernetes and containerized infrastructure.
  
• Experience designing, deploying, and supporting enterprise Kubernetes environments.
  
• Experience with cloud platforms such as AWS and/or Azure.
  
• Kubernetes certifications (CKA, CKAD, or CKS) preferred.
  
• Experience contributing to Kubernetes open-source projects is a plus.
  
• Experience with infrastructure automation, monitoring, and DevOps methodologies preferred.
