We are seeking an experienced Senior Energy Project Engineer to provide technical leadership across large-scale renewable energy and power generation projects. This contract opportunity offers the chance to work on complex engineering programmes involving utility-scale solar, battery energy storage systems (BESS), power generation and emerging energy technologies.
The successful candidate will provide engineering expertise throughout the project lifecycle, from planning and design through construction, commissioning and operational support, while ensuring projects meet technical, regulatory and safety requirements.
Responsibilities
- Lead engineering activities across utility-scale energy infrastructure projects.
- Provide technical oversight throughout project planning, design, execution and closeout.
- Coordinate multidisciplinary engineering teams and external stakeholders.
- Support project management activities including planning, scheduling, reporting and performance tracking.
- Review engineering designs to ensure compliance with project specifications, industry standards and regulatory requirements.
- Perform engineering analysis and technical evaluations to support project decisions.
- Identify and manage technical risks while developing effective mitigation strategies.
- Support negotiations relating to technical requirements and engineering deliverables.
- Ensure projects meet safety, quality and environmental standards.
- Provide technical guidance to project managers, contractors and engineering teams.
- Support continuous improvement initiatives and engineering best practices.

Required Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Engineering.
- Professional Engineer (PE) licence strongly preferred.
- 15+ years of engineering experience supporting large-scale energy infrastructure projects.
- Experience delivering renewable energy projects including utility-scale solar, BESS, wind or hydrogen.
- Strong understanding of engineering design principles and regulatory compliance.
- Experience managing technical risk and multidisciplinary engineering activities.
- Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills.
- Ability to work independently while leading complex engineering initiatives.
