Interim Home Manager – Residential Care Location: Newport Salary: £250–£350 per day Contract: Interim Are you an experienced Care Home Manager, Registered Manager or Interim Manager with the confidence to step into a service, provide immediate leadership and make a meaningful difference? We are recruiting for an accomplished Interim Home Manager to provide strong, compassionate and visible leadership within an established residential care setting in Newport. This opportunity would suit a resilient and hands-on care professional who can quickly understand a service, build trust with a team and ensure residents remain at the heart of every decision. The Role As Interim Home Manager, you will take responsibility for the day-to-day leadership and operational performance of the home, providing stability, direction and support while maintaining excellent standards of care. Key Responsibilities Provide confident, visible leadership across the home Maintain safe, compassionate and person-centred care Lead, motivate and support the staff team through periods of change Drive compliance and ensure regulatory standards are consistently maintained Review care practices, audits, policies and operational processes Identify areas requiring improvement and implement effective action plans Maintain appropriate staffing levels and support effective workforce management Monitor quality, safeguarding, medication, incidents and risk management Build positive relationships with residents, relatives, professionals and external stakeholders Support the home in achieving sustainable improvements in quality and performance About You You will be an experienced senior care professional with a proven background in residential care management. Previous experience of stepping into an interim, turnaround or service improvement environment would be highly advantageous. You will be a calm and credible leader who can quickly assess priorities, make informed decisions and bring people with you through change.
