The Role:

The AOD Practitioner/Counsellor supports the alcohol and drug service to deliver holistic, trauma-informed, and culturally appropriate intervention and counselling to clients in a Drug and Alcohol Rehabilitation centre.

Responsibilities include running programs and group therapy sessions, psycho-education, case management, and intervention-focused activities.  The role also involves supporting clients with life skills development, case management, medical support, and transport.

Requirements:

  • Considerable AOD & Mental Health case management experience
  • Experience working with individuals affected by substance abuse
  • Understanding and experience in working with First Nation Peoples
  • Valid National Police Clearance
  • Current WA Driver's License
  • Covid Vaccinations
