Position Overview
Nesco Resource is seeking an experienced Plating Operator to join a precision manufacturing team in West Phoenix. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in plating operations, chemical handling, equipment maintenance, and process troubleshooting in a manufacturing environment.
Candidates with gold plating experience are strongly encouraged to apply.
Key Responsibilities
- Calculate surface areas and determine proper amperage requirements for plating loads
- Activate parts prior to plating processes
- Perform plating operations according to established procedures and quality standards
- Diagnose and resolve part defects while identifying root causes
- Handle plating chemicals safely and in accordance with established protocols
- Identify and properly utilize required personal protective equipment (PPE)
- Troubleshoot plating tank issues, including:
- Cable connections
- Filter change-outs
- Resistance failures
- Perform routine cleaning and preventive maintenance on plating equipment
- Maintain accurate process documentation and production records
- Follow all safety, quality, and environmental procedures
- Perform other duties as assigned
Qualifications
- Minimum of 2 years of plating experience required
- Gold plating experience preferred
- Strong understanding of plating processes, equipment, and troubleshooting techniques
- Experience working with hazardous chemicals and following proper handling procedures
- Ability to read and follow work instructions, specifications, and safety guidelines
- Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality
Education
- High school diploma or GED required
Physical Requirements
- Ability to stand, walk, bend, and lift throughout the shift
- Ability to work safely in a manufacturing environment while wearing required PPE
