About the Role
Operating as a Talent Acquisition Recruiter within the semiconductor and high-technology manufacturing industry, you will drive candidate attraction, selection, and hiring initiatives tailored to current market demands. Working out of the Tokyo headquarters, you will partner closely with business leaders, Hiring Managers, and HR Business Partners to deliver strategic, consultative recruitment solutions. From executing aggressive direct sourcing strategies to delivering competitive salary proposals, you will serve as a critical link in expanding regional capability while establishing best-in-class hiring practices.
Responsibilities
Full-Lifecycle Recruitment Execution
- Manage end-to-end hiring processes, from initial strategy alignment to offer negotiation, onboarding preparation, and offer finalization in Workday.
- Formulate competitive salary proposals and lead negotiations to secure targeted candidates effectively.
- Maintain regular alignment with HR Business Partners and Hiring Managers to monitor, measure, and enhance the effectiveness of recruitment initiatives.
Strategic Candidate Sourcing & Talent Pipeline Development
- Utilize diverse recruitment channels, including direct sourcing platforms, referral networks, external agency partners, and specialized job boards.
- Cultivate and engage proactive candidate pipelines in advance of operational needs to reduce time-to-hire.
- Research and recommend innovative sourcing methods to engage both active and passive candidates within the local talent market.
Stakeholder Management & Talent Branding
- Act as a consultative hiring advisor to internal stakeholders, offering local market insights, recruitment expertise, and data-driven recommendations.
- Develop external partnerships with universities, professional associations, and vendors while managing corporate branding activities via social media and campus outreach.
- Lead cross-functional collaboration efforts to address complex hiring requirements and elevate overall candidate experience.
Process Optimization & Technology Management
- Leverage applicant tracking systems (Workday) and recruitment CRMs to drive data-informed decisions and streamline workflows.
- Identify continuous improvement opportunities within current talent acquisition processes, leveraging data and hiring analytics.
- Support localized talent acquisition projects to optimize service delivery across the organization.
Requirements
- Experience: Minimum of 3–5 years of in-house talent acquisition experience managing full-lifecycle recruitment (mid-career or campus hiring).
- Industry Background: Talent acquisition experience within the semiconductor, display, electronics, or broader high-technology manufacturing industries (or related technical sectors).
- Language Proficiency: Native-level Japanese and Business-level English fluency (spoken and written).
- Core Competencies: Proven consultation skills, strong business acumen, agile mindset, stakeholder management skills, and proficiency in ATS tools (such as Workday).
