Product Manager

A leading global technology organisation within the financial services space is seeking an experienced Product Manager to join a highly collaborative Product & Engineering function.

This is a unique opportunity to take ownership of a complex, highly technical platform environment that underpins critical market data and trading capabilities used across a broad customer and internal stakeholder landscape.

The role sits within a platform-centric team responsible for evolving a large-scale ecosystem of applications, APIs and internal services, with a key focus on modernisation, scalability and commercial enablement of data products.

Working closely with engineering, architecture and senior business stakeholders, you will play a key role in shaping platform strategy, supporting product discovery initiatives, and driving the transition from legacy infrastructure towards modern cloud-native environments.

Key Responsibilities:

• Define and drive the roadmap, strategy and vision for a core market data and platform services environment
• Partner closely with engineering and architecture teams to support technical discovery, problem definition and product evolution
• Manage and prioritise complex product backlogs across multiple internal and external stakeholder groups
• Support the ongoing evolution of legacy platforms into scalable, modern architectures
• Oversee platform and API product lifecycle management, balancing new capability delivery with operational stability
• Drive alignment across multiple internal consumer teams and business units
• Monitor platform health, reliability and performance metrics, ensuring continuous improvement initiatives are delivered
• Manage cross-functional delivery dependencies across distributed teams
• Translate highly technical concepts into commercially meaningful outcomes for senior stakeholders

• Proven Product Management experience within complex technology, platform or API-led environments
• Strong technical fluency with exposure to cloud, APIs, microservices, data platforms or distributed systems
• Experience working closely with engineers, architects and technical leadership teams
• Strong stakeholder engagement and communication skills across both technical and commercial audiences
• Comfortable operating within fast-paced, evolving environments balancing transformation and BAU priorities
• Exposure to financial markets, trading systems, market data or financial services environments is highly regarded
• Strong commercial mindset with the ability to identify scalable and reusable platform opportunities
• Experience within large-scale software, SaaS or enterprise technology businesses highly advantageous
