Temporary - Forklift Operator/Material Handler
1st Shift - $16/hr Weekly Pay

Position Summary

Seeking dependable and safety-focused Forklift Operator / Material Handler to support both warehouse operations and bottling production. This position is responsible for safely operating forklifts and electric pallet jacks to transport materials, load and unload shipments, stage glass and production supplies, pull customer orders, and maintain an efficient flow of materials throughout the facility. The ideal candidate is organized, detail-oriented, and thrives in a fast-paced environment.

Essential Responsibilities

  • Safely operate forklifts and electric pallet jacks to transport barrels, totes, tanks, pallets, glass, and other production materials throughout the facility.
  • Load and unload inbound and outbound shipments accurately and efficiently.
  • Pick, stage, and prepare customer orders according to shipping instructions and warehouse procedures.
  • Deliver glass and production materials to Bottling Lines 1, 2, and 3 to support continuous production.
  • Respond promptly to requests from bottling line personnel by replenishing glass and materials when empty pallets are returned.
  • Track and maintain accurate pallet tags, shipping documentation, and inventory records using warehouse management software.
  • Break down dunnage and dispose of recyclable materials while maintaining a clean and organized work area.
  • Operate the baler safely to process recyclable materials when needed.
  • Inspect equipment daily and report any mechanical or safety concerns.
  • Maintain accurate inventory and assist with daily shipping and receiving activities.
  • Communicate effectively with warehouse, logistics, and production teams to ensure materials are available when needed.
  • Follow all Good Manufacturing Practices (GMPs), company policies, and safety procedures.
  • Wear required personal protective equipment (PPE) and perform all duties safely.
  • Perform other warehouse, logistics, and production support duties as assigned by supervisors or management.

Qualifications

  • High school diploma or GED required.
  • Minimum of one year of forklift experience required.
  • Experience operating electric pallet jacks and other warehouse equipment preferred.
  • Ability to safely operate forklifts, pallet jacks, pumps, motors, hand tools, and related warehouse equipment.
  • Strong attention to detail with excellent organizational and time management skills.
  • Self-motivated with the ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Ability to adapt quickly in a fast-paced manufacturing environment.
  • Basic computer skills and experience using warehouse or inventory management systems are a plus.

Work Environment

  • Monday through Friday schedule with overtime as required.
  • Fast-paced warehouse and manufacturing environment supporting shipping, receiving, and bottling operations.
  • Regular exposure to warehouse conditions, including loud noise, varying temperatures, alcohol products, chemicals, forklifts, and other industrial equipment.
  • Must follow all safety procedures while working around alcohol and other flammable liquids.

Physical Requirements

  • Ability to stand and walk for extended periods throughout the workday.
  • Frequently bend, kneel, squat, climb, reach, stoop, and crawl.
  • Lift, carry, push, and pull up to 50 pounds on a regular basis.
  • Perform repetitive physical tasks in a warehouse and production environment.
  • Ability to visually inspect products, materials, and shipments for quality and accuracy.
  • Comfortable working around moving equipment, forklifts, conveyors, and bottling machinery.
