A well-established and growing engineering business is looking to recruit an Electrical Installation Engineer to join its expanding team. Operating across a wide range of industrial and manufacturing sites throughout the North East, the company has built an excellent reputation for delivering high-quality installation, maintenance and project work.

Working Hours: Monday to Friday – Day Shift

Field-based role covering customer sites across the North East only. No nationwide travel or lengthy stays away from home.

Job Description:

This Electrical Installation Engineer position offers a varied role combining electrical installation, commissioning and customer-facing project work across industrial and manufacturing environments.

As an Electrical Installation Engineer, you will be responsible for delivering electrical installation projects to a high standard while ensuring all work is completed safely, efficiently and in line with current regulations.

Key responsibilities include:

• Electrical installation of industrial machinery and equipment.
• Installing containment, cable tray, trunking and conduit.
• Cable routing, termination and panel wiring.
• Electrical testing and commissioning.
• Reading and interpreting electrical drawings and schematics.
• Fault finding during installation and commissioning activities.
• Liaising with customers on-site to ensure projects are delivered successfully.
• Ensuring all work complies with current electrical standards and health & safety regulations.
• Supporting planned project work across customer sites throughout the North East.

Skills & Experience:

The successful Electrical Installation Engineer will ideally have:

• Time-served Electrical Apprenticeship.
• NVQ Level 3 or equivalent in Electrical Engineering.
• 18th Edition Wiring Regulations.
• Previous experience carrying out electrical installation work within industrial or manufacturing environments.
• Strong understanding of electrical drawings and control systems.
• Excellent fault-finding and commissioning skills.
• Full UK driving licence.
• A professional approach with strong communication and customer service skills.
