We are seeking an experienced and highly capable Senior Injury Management Advisor to join a large mining services organisation that has gone through extensive growth.  This is a pivotal role supporting injury management strategy, workers compensation outcomes, fitness for work decisions, and early intervention initiatives across a diverse national workforce.

The Opportunity
You will play a key role in ensuring injured workers receive timely, compassionate and effective support while balancing operational requirements and legislative compliance.

You will:
• Manage end to end workers compensation and injury management cases across multiple jurisdictions.
• Review and interpret pre employment medical assessments and provide timely fitness for work recommendations to recruitment and operational stakeholders.
• Develop and implement RTW plans in consultation with treating practitioners, insurers, site leaders, and employees.
• Provide expert advice on injury management, workers compensation legislation, fitness for work matters, and complex case strategies.
• Liaise closely with insurers, legal representatives, payroll teams, health providers, operational leaders, safety teams, and human resources.
• Support the management of complex and long tail claims, ensuring appropriate strategies are implemented to achieve optimal outcomes.
• Contribute to the continuous improvement of injury management systems, processes, and reporting frameworks.

Key Priorities
• Drive positive RTW outcomes through proactive case management and early intervention.
• Provide accurate and timely fitness for work recommendations 
• Ensure compliance with workers compensation legislation and injury management requirements across multiple jurisdictions.
• Build strong relationships with operational stakeholders
• Deliver high quality documentation, correspondence, reporting, and case management records.
• Assist in the management of complex medical, psychosocial, and fitness for work matters.

About You
You are a confident and commercially minded injury management professional who enjoys working in a fast paced environment and partnering closely with operational teams whicl maintaining excellent record keeping and attention to detail.

You will bring:
• Extensive experience in injury management and workers compensation 
• Allied health qualifications in Physiotherapy, Occupational Therapy, Exercise Physiology, Rehabilitation Counselling, or a related discipline.
• Strong knowledge of workers compensation legislation and claims management processes across multiple Australian jurisdictions.
• Demonstrated experience reviewing pre employment medicals and providing fitness for work recommendations.
• Experience managing complex stakeholder relationships and influencing decision making across all levels of an organisation.
