About the Role
As an Organisational Change Manager, you will provide specialist leadership across the full organisational change lifecycle, from strategic analysis and detailed business case development through implementation, transition and benefits realisation.
You will lead the development of robust business cases and implementation plans for complex change initiatives, ensuring proposed changes are evidence-based, well governed, operationally feasible and aligned with organisational requirements.
- Developing detailed business cases covering current and future state, options, risks, costs, benefits and implementation considerations
- Preparing executive briefs, governance papers, decision papers and supporting documentation
- Designing implementation approaches covering workstreams, milestones, dependencies, governance, resourcing and timeframes
- Leading organisational change through implementation, transition and embedding
- Providing specialist advice on organisational design, workforce impacts and transition planning
- Assessing impacts across structures, roles, functions and ways of working and developing practical mitigation strategies
- Leading stakeholder engagement, consultation and communication to support decision-making, readiness and adoption
- Working closely with HR, industrial relations, finance, legal, ICT and business leaders
- Ensuring change activities address relevant workforce, HR and industrial relations obligations
- Establishing governance, reporting, risk and issue management processes
- Monitoring progress, managing emerging issues and supporting benefits realisation
- Providing senior leaders and governance bodies with clear, timely strategic advice
About You
You are an experienced organisational change professional who can move confidently between strategic thinking, detailed analysis and practical delivery.
- Demonstrated experience developing detailed business cases and implementation plans for complex organisational change
- Proven capability managing change end to end, from strategic analysis through implementation and transition
- Strong expertise in organisational change, organisational design, workforce transition and implementation planning
- Sound knowledge of HR, industrial relations and workforce compliance considerations
- Experience working with industrial instruments, consultation obligations and employment frameworks
- Strong written communication skills, with experience preparing executive and governance documentation
- Strong project and programme delivery capability, including planning, dependencies, risk management and reporting
- Highly developed stakeholder engagement, negotiation and influencing skills
- Strong analytical, problem-solving and judgement skills, with the ability to translate strategy into practical delivery
Relevant tertiary qualifications in business, human resources, organisational psychology, public administration, management or a related discipline are required. Qualifications or certification in change, project or programme management will be highly regarded. You will also demonstrate accountability for outcomes, a commitment to continuous growth, the ability to build productive working relationships and sound judgement in complex environments.
