Public Sector People are seeking expressions of interest from experienced Marketing, Communications and Digital professionals for upcoming opportunities across the Sunshine Coast region.

We partner with a range of local government and public sector organisations and are building a talent pool of high-quality professionals ahead of anticipated hiring demand across marketing, communications, digital engagement, content, social media and stakeholder engagement functions. Opportunities may be available on a temporary or contract basis.

Potential responsibilities may include:

• Developing and delivering marketing and communications strategies
• Managing digital channels including websites, social media and online campaigns
• Creating engaging content for a variety of audiences and platforms
• Supporting community engagement, consultation and public awareness initiatives
• Providing strategic communications advice to internal stakeholders and leadership teams
• Coordinating media enquiries, public relations activities and reputation management
• Monitoring and reporting on campaign, website and social media performance
• Managing digital analytics and using insights to inform decision-making
• Developing communication materials including media releases, newsletters, reports and presentations
• Leading projects, campaigns and cross-functional stakeholder engagement activities
• Managing agencies, suppliers and external partners where required
• Contributing to organisational objectives through effective communication and engagement practices

About you:

• Experience in marketing, communications, digital, engagement or related disciplines
• Strong written and verbal communication skills
• Experience managing stakeholder relationships in complex environments
• Ability to develop engaging content across multiple communication channels
• Understanding of digital marketing, web content and social media platforms
• Strong organisational skills with the ability to manage competing priorities
• Experience within local government, state government, not-for-profit or broader public sector environments is highly regarded but not essential
• Australian citizenship, permanent residency or valid Australian working rights
