Senior Business Analyst (Cloud Finance: 8185)

A Global IT Service firm is seeking a Senior Business Analyst to support the financial and economic performance management of the internal cloud platform that powers major services.
In this role, you will serve as a trusted financial partner to cloud infrastructure and platform teams, providing financial insights, economic analysis, and cost governance to support critical business and technology decisions.

Responsibilities:
- The monthly financial performance reporting and variance analysis for the private cloud— reconciled, correct, on time
- Close partnership with the technical and platform teams - central to this role. You bring financial and economic rigor to decisions (architecture, capacity, build-vs-buy, private vs. public cloud, unit economics) and help them choose with cost and value clearly in view
- Next-year pricing process and resource allocation
- Analysis of public cloud spend, surfacing the cost story clearly

Required skills:
- A strong finance and economics foundation - P&L, variance, cost allocation, unit economics, tradeoff analysis. You understand the numbers and the story behind the numbers
- AI-native operation. AI agents (Codex, Claude, etc.) are already a primary interface for how you build analyses and models and move fast
- Verification discipline. You catch the wrong number before it reaches a decision. You reconcile, sanity-check, and instinctively distrust plausible-but-unverified output
- Strong collaboration and credibility with technical teams. You can sit with engineers, speak their language, earn their trust, and be the person they want in the room for a financial call
- Data and cloud literacy - enough to work the data with AI and hold your own with engineers
- Reliability and ownership
- Clear, concise communication - especially translating between financial and technical audiences
