We're working with a well-established Kiwi manufacturer with a strong reputation and plenty of history behind them. They're on the hunt for an experienced Mechanical Fitter/Assembler to lead a team of around 15 people in a busy production environment.
This is a hands-on role for someone who enjoys getting stuck in, supporting their team, and making sure the work gets out the door safely, on time, and to a high standard.

This is a hands-on role for someone who enjoys getting stuck in, supporting their team, and making sure the work gets out the door safely, on time, and to a high standard.
What you'll be doing:
- Leading and backing your assembly team day-to-day
- Keeping production, quality, and safety on track
- Rolling up your sleeves and getting involved with mechanical assembly and fitting work
- Troubleshooting problems and helping the team find solutions
- Working closely with the Production Manager and having a real say in how things are done
- A stable, well-respected business with decades of success behind it
- A proper mix of leadership and hands-on work
- Plenty of variety with interesting products and projects
- A chance to make your mark and help shape the team
- Strong experience as a Mechanical Fitter, Mechanical Assembler, or similar
- Experience working in a manufacturing or industrial environment
- Previous leadership, supervisory, or leading hand experience
- A trade qualification in mechanical fitting, fabrication, engineering, electrical, or similar would be ideal
- Confidence reading engineering drawings and build plans
- Solid mechanical know-how and a knack for solving problems
- Electrical knowledge would be a real advantage
- The kind of attitude that gets stuck in and leads by example.
- Must have full NZ working rights
