Apply directMonroe Consulting Group is partnering with a highly reputable Asset Management company in Indonesia to recruit an experienced Chief Investment Officer (CIO).
This executive leadership role is responsible for defining and driving the firm's investment philosophy, portfolio strategy, and overall performance across all managed funds. The CIO will oversee investment research, strategic and tactical asset allocation, portfolio construction, risk governance, and decision-making, while ensuring strict compliance with OJK regulations and internal investment policies.
Key Responsibilities
1. Investment Strategy & Asset Allocation

Define and execute the firm's overarching investment strategy across Equity, Fixed Income, Money Market, and Multi-Asset portfolios.

Lead macroeconomic research, capital market outlook development, and top-down strategy formulation.

Establish strategic and tactical asset allocation frameworks to drive alpha and outperformance against benchmarks.
2. Portfolio Management & Decision-Making

Oversee portfolio construction, optimization, liquidity management, and concentration limits.

Chair Investment Committee meetings, review major investment proposals, and guide high-conviction decision-making.

Monitor portfolio risk, scenario stress testing, and performance attribution in partnership with Risk Management and Compliance.
3. Strategic Leadership & Team Development

Lead, mentor, and coach direct reports, including the Head of Equity, Head of Fixed Income, Portfolio Managers, and Analysts.

Cultivate a disciplined, research-driven, and high-performance investment culture.

Focus on talent retention, succession planning, and professional development within the investment team.
4. Risk Governance & Regulatory Compliance

Ensure all managed funds strictly comply with OJK regulations, fund mandates, and internal risk management parameters.

Partner closely with Risk, Compliance, Distribution, and Executive Management teams to maintain robust governance standards.

Conduct regular portfolio scenario analysis and stress testing.
5. Stakeholder Management & Business Growth

Present investment performance, portfolio positioning, and market outlooks to the Board of Directors, executive management, and institutional clients.

Engage with institutional investors, key distributors, and regulators to support fundraising and business expansion.

Represent the firm in industry forums, public events, and high-level client meetings.
Requirements

Education: Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Economics, Accounting, Engineering, Mathematics, or a related quantitative discipline. Advanced degrees (Master's/MBA) are a plus.

Experience: Minimum of 15 years of progressive experience within investment management, capital markets, or buy-side financial institutions.

Industry Expertise: Strong track record in portfolio management and investment strategy with deep expertise across both Equity and Fixed Income asset classes. Direct experience within a licensed Asset Management company in Indonesia is highly preferred.

Licensing & Certifications:

Active WMI (Wakil Manajer Investasi) license is required.

CFA (Chartered Financial Analyst) charterholder designation is highly desirable.

Leadership & Strategy: Proven track record of leading investment teams, managing senior multi-asset class professionals, and delivering consistent risk-adjusted returns.

Governance & Stakeholder Skills: Deep understanding of OJK regulatory frameworks and strong executive presentation skills for communicating complex market dynamics to Board members and institutional investors.
