What the job entails
As Account Director, you will play a senior, hands-on role within a growing London technology practice. You will lead high-profile enterprise technology accounts, delivering integrated public relations and corporate affairs programmes for UK and international audiences.
You will act as a trusted senior adviser to clients, develop proactive campaigns, lead strategic media relations and maintain current knowledge of relevant journalists, producers, channels and wider technology, communications and geopolitical issues. The role combines strategic judgement with active delivery and is not strategy-only.
Working within a matrix structure, you will align teams across several accounts, guide a small number of direct reports and support colleagues to deliver excellent client work. You will also contribute to new business through networking, events, social activity and pitching, helping to drive the continued growth of the practice.
Key requirements / What we look for
- Proven agency experience in enterprise technology or B2B technology public relations.
- Strong Account Director or Senior Account Director experience; this is not a step-up role.
- Demonstrable client results, ownership and meaningful responsibility within account teams.
- Credible senior client relationships and current strategic media-relations knowledge.
- Strong team-management, consulting, communication and new-business skills.
- Curious, collaborative, energetic and hands-on, with a non-hierarchical approach.
Compensation & Benefits
- Salary of £55,000–£65,000, depending on experience and seniority.
- Discretionary bonus linked to financial performance.
- Potential new-business incentive bonuses.
- Hybrid working, with a minimum of two office days each week: Wednesdays and Thursdays.
- London-based role within reasonable commuting distance.
