QA/QC Manager

D&B Recruitment are working alongside a global leader in water and environmental services, who we are supporting in the search for a QA/QC Manager, to support a multistage project to a total value of $81M in scope. The project based South of the River, will play an integral part in producing fresh drinking water to the state, and play a pivotal role in the long term strategy against a drying climate. 

Reporting into the Project Manager, this QA/QC Manager position, will give you full ownership in your role, allowing you to develop, implement, and maintain management plans, procedures and policies aligned with company and regulatory requirements across civil, mechanical, and electrical components. In addition to Quality Assurance & Control, you will plan and schedule inspections and testing, manage non-conformance, and keep accurate documentation and reporting, updating the Project Manager and stakeholders on status, risks and resolutions.
  
Initially, you will join the project on a 3 month contract, with the right individual being potentially successful in extending it on a fixed term bases across the subsequent stages, and importantly give you involvement on a key infrastructure project, beneficial to your career. 
  
To Be Successful, You Will Have:

• Minimum of 8 years experience in Project Controls.
• No less than 3 years experience in leading QA/QC on projects.
• Have a real drive and passion for continuous improvement, and promoting a culture of quality. 
• BSc in Civil, Mechanical and/or Chemical Engineering, construction management or a related discipline. 
• A strong understanding in Water Corp specifications, and applying Australian Standards across water infrastructure. 
• Strong leadership skills, and confident in your ability to coordinate and manage multidisciplinary QA/QC teams.
• Proficiency in quality management software, as well as MS office.
• Analytically minded with a keen eye for detail & accuracy.
