Key responsibilities

Reporting to the Director, you'll be responsible for driving new business growth, developing specification opportunities and expanding market presence across Sydney and surrounding regions.

Your responsibilities will include:

  • Identifying and developing new business opportunities within the architecture, design and construction sectors
  • Driving specification sales for premium architectural cladding and façade solutions
  • Building strong relationships with architects, designers, developers and commercial builders
  • Conducting regular site visits to support builders, installers and project delivery
  • Presenting tailored product solutions through meetings, presentations and design consultations
  • Achieving and exceeding sales targets, revenue objectives and KPI's
  • Researching market trends, competitor activity and upcoming construction projects
  • Negotiating commercial agreements and project pricing in conjunction with internal stakeholders
  • Maintaining accurate sales activity, specifications and project information within the CRM system
  • Representing the business at industry events, trade exhibitions and networking functions
  • Preparing sales reports, market feedback and pipeline updates to support strategic planning

Your skills and experience

To be successful in this role you'll ideally bring:

  • 3-5+ years' experience in business development, account management or B2B sales
  • Experience selling building products into the commercial or high-end residential construction industry
  • Exposure to specification sales and working with architects and designers
  • Strong relationship-building, presentation and negotiation skills
  • Commercially focused with the ability to identify and convert new business opportunities
  • Experience using CRM systems such as Zoho or similar together with Microsoft 365
  • Highly motivated, self-driven and comfortable working autonomously across a field-based territory

You will stand out if you have:

  • Experience selling architectural cladding, façade systems or premium building products
  • An understanding of specification-driven sales within the architectural and design community
  • Genuine interest in contemporary architecture and commercial construction
  • Existing relationships with architects, designers, developers or commercial builders throughout Sydney
