Design & Build are partnering with a leading Australian residential building organisation to recruit a BIM / Archicad Trainer to join their People Development function.
Based in the Hunter Region, this role will support drafting teams nationally and will involve regular travel, both interstate and nationally.
Importantly, you don't need to already be an experienced trainer.
We're equally interested in hearing from experienced Archicad 29 users, Senior Drafters, BIM specialists or technical drafting professionals who enjoy helping others and would like to pivot their career into training and development.
For the right technical person, the business is prepared to invest in your development and support you in completing your Certificate IV in Training & Assessment.
The Role
Working closely with the BIM Manager and Learning & Development team, you'll become a key technical resource supporting drafting teams across the organisation.

Experienced Trainer: You may already be delivering BIM, Archicad, CAD or technical training and be looking for an opportunity within a large national organisation.
Experienced Archicad User Ready for a Career Pivot: You may be a Senior Drafter, BIM Coordinator, Archicad specialist or highly experienced residential drafting professional who loves helping others and wants to move away from day-to-day drafting into a training-focused career.

The Role

- Delivering Archicad and BIM training to drafting teams across Australia
- Supporting the onboarding and technical induction of new starters
- Developing structured Archicad training programs
- Creating training materials including guides, videos, e-learning content, job aids and SOPs
- Running face-to-face and virtual training sessions
- Working one-on-one and with small groups to improve technical capability
- Identifying knowledge gaps and opportunities to improve BIM processes and training
- Working with internal technical specialists and external BIM providers
- Monitoring training participation and effectiveness
- Travelling nationally to support teams across different locations

- The ability and willingness to travel nationally
- A proactive approach to technology and continuous improvement
- A current driver's licence
