Seeking a Project Officer with 2-5 years experience
Reporting to the ICT Project Manager, the ICT Project Officer supports project management practices to deliver ICT solutions. The Project Officer contributes to successful project outcomes through strong project coordination and detailed project documentation, with a proactive approach to stakeholder engagement and communication.
Key Responsibilities
Assist the ICT Project Manager in delivering ICT project outcomes, focusing on implementation in partnership with internal and external delivery providers. Coordinate project activities, including planning, scheduling, resource allocation, cost management, task management, and status reporting. Conduct procurement activities to support project requirements. Develop and maintain high‐quality project documentation, including project plans, status reports, and meeting minutes. Maintain accurate and up‐to‐date project records and files. Support stakeholder engagement and communication, including preparing project updates and providing professional, timely responses to stakeholder inquiries. Assist in the coordination of project meetings, workshops, and events, ensuring outcomes are documented and tracked. Support the Project Manager in identifying and mitigating project risks and issues. Collaborate proactively with internal and external stakeholders to ensure project deliverables are achieved and objectives aligned. Provide guidance, coaching, and knowledge transfer to team members regarding project management practices and tools.
Desirable Qualifications
PRINCE2 Foundation Certification. AIPM CPPP Certification.
Required Knowledge/Experience and tools
2‐5 years project‐related experience and/or Project Officer role. Familiarity with project management methodologies and practices, such as PRINCE2 and PMBOK, and a demonstrated ability to assist in their application in a project setting. Proficiency using project management tools.
SFIA Skills/Attributes - The role may require the following SFIA skill categories but not limited to: PROF 3‐5, SORC 3‐5, IRMG 3‐5, METL 3‐5, FMIT 4‐5, and RLMT 4‐5.
Contract: 12 Months Contract with 2 x 12 month extensions
Security Required: TSPV - Security Clearance required
Location - Canberra
