This is a high-impact permanent opportunity for a Principal Engineer/ Solution Architect to lead the design and delivery of AI-enabled development solutions within a forward-thinking technology environment. You will be joining a program focused on modernising software delivery through AI, automation, and scalable architecture practices.

You will play a key role in shaping how engineering teams adopt AI-driven approaches, influencing both technical direction and engineering culture. • Lead the design and implementation of AI-enabled development architectures and frameworks
• Define scalable, secure, and high-performing solution architectures across complex systems
• Drive engineering best practices with a focus on automation, DevOps, and AI integration
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to align architecture with business and delivery goals
• Oversee technical decision-making across multiple workstreams and delivery squads
• Support the adoption of AI tools to enhance developer productivity and software quality
• Mentor senior engineers and uplift engineering capability across the organisation
• Ensure solutions meet performance, security, and compliance standards
• Engage with stakeholders to translate business requirements into technical solutions

• Proven experience as a Principal Engineer or Solutions Architect within enterprise environments
• Strong background in AI-enabled development, automation, and modern engineering practices
• Expertise in cloud platforms such as AWS, Azure, or GCP
• Deep knowledge of software architecture patterns and scalable system design
• Experience with DevOps tooling, CI/CD pipelines, and infrastructure as code
• Ability to influence and guide senior technical stakeholders
• Strong communication and leadership skills across engineering and business teams
