Maintenance Technician

Job Title: Maintenance Technician
Location: Rochester, NY

Summary: Nesco Resource is seeking a Maintenance Technician to support a manufacturing facility in Rochester, NY. This role is responsible for troubleshooting, repairing, and maintaining mechanical, electrical, and pneumatic systems, as well as supporting production equipment and facility operations. This is a great opportunity for someone with strong hands-on experience looking to grow in a fast-paced manufacturing environment.

Pay Rate:

• $19.00 – $26.00/Hour

Shift:

• Monday – Thursday | 3:15 PM – 1:45 AM
  • On-call every 4th weekend

Key Responsibilities:

• Troubleshoot and repair electrical, mechanical, and pneumatic systems
• Diagnose and repair electro-mechanical equipment issues
• Perform equipment disassembly, repair, and reassembly
• Support production equipment setup and operation
• Assist operators with troubleshooting and equipment issues
• Perform facility maintenance including light electrical, plumbing, and general upkeep
• Conduct routine inspections and preventative maintenance
• Assist engineering with installation, testing, and validation of equipment
• Build fixtures and machine attachments as needed
• Operate equipment such as forklifts, lifts, and snow removal equipment
• Maintain safe and compliant work practices

Qualifications:

• High School Diploma or GED required
• 3–5 years of experience in mechanical, electrical, or pneumatic systems
• Manufacturing experience preferred (flexible packaging a plus)
• Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills
• Ability to manage multiple tasks and priorities
• Strong communication and teamwork skills
• Mechanical aptitude and hands-on experience

Work Environment & Physical Requirements:

• Manufacturing environment with exposure to noise, dust, and moving equipment
• Requires standing, bending, lifting, and working with tools
• PPE required including safety glasses, hearing protection, and safety shoes
• Exposure to hot/humid conditions at times
