Interim Assistant Controller (Italian speaking)

EMEA Recruitment is working exclusively with an international organisation to recruit an Interim Assistant Controller based out of the Netherlands HQ in Leusden.

Working closely with the Controlling Manager, you will support the financial operations of the business, with a primary focus on the Italian entity. This is a hands-on position covering accounting, reporting, compliance and controlling activities within an international finance environment.

Responsibilities:

• Support month-end, quarter-end and year-end close
• Prepare financial reporting, reconciliations and variance analysis
• Support statutory reporting, tax filings and audit requirements
• Assist with internal controls and SOX compliance
• Prepare group reporting packages and financial statements
• Work with Tax, Treasury and wider Finance teams across the organisation
• Support process improvements and standardisation initiatives
• Ensure accounting activities are aligned with IFRS, local GAAP and internal policies Assistant Controller

Candidate requirements:

• Minimum 3 years' experience within Finance or Accounting
• Strong accounting knowledge, including IFRS and local GAAP
• Italian GAAP experience would be advantageous
• Experience with local tax reporting and filings
• Understanding of internal controls and SOX
• Advanced Excel skills
• SAP experience would be advantageous
• Big 4 and/or multinational experience is beneficial
• Fluent Italian and English are essential
